Warranty Information

Last updated: 1 January 2025

At Automods, we take pride in the quality of our work and the products we supply. This page explains the warranty cover we provide for labour, workmanship, and supplied items.

If you experience any issue after installation or purchase, please contact us and we will review the matter as quickly and fairly as possible.

1 Warranty overview

We provide different warranty periods depending on whether the issue relates to our labour or to a product we have supplied.

  • Labour / workmanship warranty — covered for the lifetime of the installation
  • Supplied products / parts warranty — covered for 1 year from the date of installation or purchase unless otherwise stated

This warranty applies only to the original customer and is not transferable unless agreed by us in writing.

2 Lifetime labour warranty

We provide a lifetime warranty on all labour and workmanship carried out by Automods.

This means that if a fault arises due to the way we fitted, installed, or carried out the work, we will inspect it and, where accepted as a valid claim, rectify the workmanship issue at no labour cost.

This warranty covers installation faults directly caused by our work. It does not cover issues caused by parts failing, accidental damage, wear and tear, misuse, or work carried out by anyone else after our installation.

3 1 year warranty on supplied parts

Any products, parts, or components supplied by Automods are covered by a 1 year warranty from the date of installation or sale, unless a different period is stated in writing.

This warranty applies to faults caused by manufacturing defects or product failure under normal use.

Where appropriate, claims for supplied items may be subject to inspection, testing, or manufacturer approval before a repair, replacement, or refund is offered.

4 What is covered

Depending on the type of job and issue reported, warranty cover may include:

  • Faults caused by incorrect installation or workmanship
  • Failure of a supplied part within the applicable warranty period
  • Loose fittings, poor finishing, or installation defects caused by our work
  • Reasonable corrective labour required to resolve an approved warranty issue

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by Automods.

5 What is not covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear over time
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper care
  • Water damage, impact damage, or electrical faults caused by issues unrelated to our installation
  • Faults caused by third-party parts not supplied by us unless agreed in writing
  • Any work, adjustments, removals, or modifications carried out by another installer or third party after our work has been completed
  • Cosmetic deterioration caused by age, environment, cleaning products, or general use
  • Vehicle faults unrelated to the service or product we supplied

6 Customer responsibilities

To keep your warranty valid, you must:

  • Use the product or installation in a normal and reasonable manner
  • Follow any aftercare, maintenance, or usage guidance provided by us
  • Report any issue as soon as reasonably possible after noticing it
  • Give us the opportunity to inspect and resolve the issue before arranging repairs elsewhere

If work is altered, removed, repaired, or interfered with by another party before we have inspected it, we may be unable to honour the warranty.

7 How to make a claim

If you believe you have a valid warranty claim, please contact us with:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Your booking reference, invoice number, or order number
  • The registration of the vehicle where relevant
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Photos or videos of the fault where possible

We may ask you to bring the vehicle or item back to us for inspection before approving any warranty work.

8 How claims are resolved

If a warranty claim is accepted, we will decide the most appropriate remedy. This may include:

  • Repairing the issue
  • Replacing the defective supplied part or product
  • Reinstalling the affected area where appropriate
  • Offering a refund or partial refund where repair or replacement is not suitable

Warranty remedies are limited to the original service or supplied product in question. We do not cover indirect or consequential losses.

9 Third-party and manufacturer warranties

Some products may also benefit from a separate manufacturer warranty.

Where a manufacturer warranty applies, we may assist you with the claim process, but final approval may depend on the manufacturer’s own terms and inspection process.

Our labour warranty remains separate from any manufacturer warranty on the supplied product itself.
