General

We are based in the UK and operate from our dedicated installation workshop. All of our work is carried out in a controlled indoor environment to ensure the highest quality finish. We do not currently offer mobile fitting, as many of our services - particularly window tinting and paint protection film - require a dust-free, climate-controlled space to achieve a flawless result. If you are unsure about travelling to us, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Fitting times vary depending on the service and the size of your vehicle. As a general guide: window tinting typically takes 2-4 hours for a full car; car wrapping can take 1-5 days depending on whether it is a full or partial wrap; paint protection film (PPF) on a full car takes 2-4 days; Carplay and Android Auto installations usually take 2-4 hours; and dashcam and tracker installations take between 1-3 hours. We will always give you a more accurate timeframe when you book in.

Yes. All of our installations come with a warranty covering both the product and the workmanship. Warranty periods vary by service and product brand - for example, premium window films from SunTek and XPEL carry manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years, while our PPF and wrap installations are backed by both the manufacturer and our own fitting guarantee. Full warranty details are provided at the time of booking. If you ever experience an issue with our work, contact us and we will resolve it promptly.

For most services, we ask that you bring your vehicle in freshly washed and dry. For paint protection film and wrapping, the car should ideally be clean inside and out. If your car has existing paint chips, deep scratches, or surface contamination, these should be addressed beforehand as PPF and wraps will conform to any imperfections on the paint. For interior services such as Carplay, dashcam, or tracker installations, there is no special preparation needed - just make sure personal belongings are removed from the dashboard area.

Absolutely. You can use our quick quote form on the homepage to send us your vehicle details and the service you are interested in, and we will get back to you with a price as soon as possible - usually within a few hours during business hours. For more complex jobs such as full wraps or full-front PPF, we may ask to see the vehicle in person before providing a final quote, as the condition of the paintwork and panel complexity can affect pricing.

Window Tinting

Yes, window tinting is legal in the UK, but there are legal limits you must adhere to. The front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through, and the front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through. There are no legal restrictions on how dark the rear windows or rear windscreen can be tinted. We always ensure that any tint we apply to your front windows complies with UK law. If you are unsure, we can advise you on the best shade for your needs that keeps your vehicle road-legal.

We work with some of the most trusted brands in the industry including SunTek, XPEL, and OPX. These films offer a range of benefits including heat rejection, UV protection, glare reduction, and enhanced privacy. All of our films are tested to ensure they meet UK legal requirements for visible light transmission on front windows. We will help you choose the right film for your priorities - whether that is privacy, heat reduction, or aesthetics.

High-quality window films from reputable brands typically last 10 years or more when professionally installed and properly maintained. Cheap films can bubble, fade, and peel within a few years. All of the films we use carry long manufacturer warranties. To keep your tint looking its best, we recommend waiting at least 48–72 hours before winding windows down after fitting, and cleaning the glass with an ammonia-free product.

Any reduction in light transmission will have some effect on night-time visibility, which is why we take legal limits seriously and always guide customers toward appropriate shade levels. For rear windows, darker tints are common and generally have minimal impact on driving safety as the rear-view mirror and side mirrors compensate. For front side windows, we recommend staying at legal levels (70% VLT or above) which provides privacy benefits without meaningfully affecting visibility.

Car Wrapping

Car wrapping involves applying a specialist vinyl film over your vehicle's original paintwork to change its colour or finish. When professionally applied and removed, a quality wrap should not damage your paint — in fact, it acts as a protective layer against minor stone chips, UV fading, and light scratches. We use premium vinyl from Avery Dennison and 3M, which are designed to be safely removable without leaving residue, provided the underlying paint is in good condition.

A professionally installed wrap using premium vinyl typically lasts 5-7 years with proper care. Factors that affect longevity include exposure to direct sunlight, how often the vehicle is washed, and whether it is kept outdoors or in a garage. Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo and avoiding automatic car washes with brushes will significantly extend the life of your wrap. We recommend against pressure washing directly at the edges of the wrap film.

Yes - wrapping is actually a popular option for leased vehicles precisely because it is fully reversible. You can change the colour of your car during the lease period and have the wrap removed before returning it, leaving the original factory paint intact. This can protect you from paint damage charges at the end of the lease. We recommend informing your lease provider before wrapping, as some agreements may have specific conditions.

Yes. A colour change wrap is considered a vehicle modification in the UK and you are legally required to inform your insurance provider. Failure to declare a modification can invalidate your policy. Most mainstream insurers will cover a wrapped vehicle - some may charge a small additional premium. It is also worth noting that if the wrap changes the colour of the car, this should be reflected in your V5C logbook. We can advise you on the process.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a thick, transparent urethane film applied directly to your car's painted surfaces. It acts as a physical barrier against stone chips, road debris, bird droppings, insect acid, and light scratches. Premium PPF products such as those from XPEL feature self-healing technology - minor surface scratches disappear with heat from the sun or warm water. PPF is virtually invisible and preserves the original look of your car while providing superior protection.

PPF and ceramic coatings serve different purposes. PPF is a physical film that absorbs and deflects impacts - it is the best protection against stone chips and physical damage. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that bonds to the paint or PPF surface, providing hydrophobic properties (water beading), enhanced gloss, UV resistance, and easier cleaning. The two are complementary - many customers apply PPF to high-impact areas and then apply a ceramic coating on top for the ultimate finish and ease of maintenance.

PPF can be applied to virtually any painted surface of your vehicle. The most common areas include the full bonnet, front bumper, front wings, door edges, door cups, and mirror caps - these are the zones most exposed to stone chips and road debris. We also offer full-front end protection, full-body coverage, and custom coverage to suit your budget and requirements. We will advise on which areas offer the best value for protection based on your vehicle and how you use it.

Carplay, Android Auto & In-Car Tech

In most cases, yes. We can retrofit Apple Carplay and Android Auto to a wide range of vehicles including those that did not come with it from the factory. The installation method depends on your car - some vehicles allow a software unlock of the existing factory screen, while others require the fitment of a new aftermarket head unit. We will assess your specific vehicle and recommend the best solution that integrates cleanly with your car's interior and existing controls.

This depends on your vehicle manufacturer and the installation method used. A software-based unlock of a factory system typically has less impact than replacing the head unit entirely. Where a new head unit is required, reputable aftermarket brands are installed to a professional standard and should not affect your drivetrain or mechanical warranty. We always aim to use installation methods that are reversible where possible. We recommend checking your warranty documentation or contacting your dealer if you have concerns.

We install dashcams from Road Angel and Thinkware - two of the most trusted brands in the UK. Both offer front and rear camera systems with features such as Full HD or 4K recording, GPS logging, parking mode, and cloud connectivity. All of our dashcam installations are fully hardwired and hidden - no trailing wires, no suction cups. The result is a clean, factory-finish look with a permanent power connection that includes parking mode protection.

Yes. Parking mode allows your dashcam to continue recording when the engine is off, capturing any incidents while the vehicle is parked. To enable this feature, the dashcam must be hardwired to a switched or permanent live feed rather than simply plugged into a 12V socket. We install all dashcams with a professional hardwire kit, including a voltage cut-off circuit that prevents the dashcam from draining your battery. This is included as standard in all of our dashcam installations.

Security & Vehicle Tracking

Thatcham Research is the UK's leading automotive security research centre. A Thatcham-approved tracker has been independently tested and certified to meet strict performance standards for vehicle recovery. There are several Thatcham categories - the most relevant for trackers are S5 (driver recognition) and S7 (stolen vehicle tracking). Many insurance companies require or offer discounts for Thatcham-certified trackers, particularly on high-value or performance vehicles. We install MetaTrak systems, which are Thatcham approved.

MetaTrak trackers use a combination of GPS, GSM, and VHF technology to locate your vehicle at all times. Once installed, the tracker communicates with a 24/7 monitoring centre. If your vehicle is reported stolen, the monitoring team works directly with the police to coordinate recovery. Some MetaTrak systems also feature driver ID tags - if the vehicle is moved without the tag being present, an alert is triggered immediately. The system is fully hidden during installation so it cannot be easily detected or disabled by thieves.

When installed by a professional, a tracker or immobiliser will not adversely affect your vehicle's electronics. We take care to tap into appropriate circuits and avoid interference with safety-critical systems such as airbags, ABS, or engine management. All of our security installations are carried out to the highest standard, and we use only approved components from reputable manufacturers. If your vehicle has a complex electrical architecture such as a modern hybrid or EV, we will advise on the best installation approach before proceeding.

In most cases, yes - a tracker can be professionally removed and reinstalled in a new vehicle. However, this may involve a reconnection fee and the subscription associated with the device may need to be updated to reflect the new vehicle details. We recommend contacting us before purchasing a new vehicle so we can advise on the best course of action and ensure continuous coverage during any transition period.
